Are you ready to deduct or collect tax at new rates after passing Finance Act 2018? From 01 July 2018, you have to deduct or collect tax at source at new applicable rates as per income tax law. Penalty may arise due to failure of deduction or collection of tax at source at applicable rates. So what are the new TDS rates with respective sections? The list is long but easy to comply. A half-day long workshop “Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) for 2018-19” will be organised by Pencilbox on 27 July 2018. The workshop will cover the following main important parts:

TDS Rates with Section References

A full list with section references will be provided to the workshop participants. The list will also include the guidelines of complex sections. For easily understanding of the TDS calculation, practical example will be used in this section.

Time Limit for TDS Deposit

Deducted or collected tax at source should be deposited as prescribed time limit according to income tax law. The time limits varies as per deduction or collection of the tax. The participants will get clear idea about the time limit of TDS deposit to the Government Treasury.

Penalty for Non-compliance of TDS

If the tax at source was not deducted or collected at source or deducted or collected at lower rate, then the penalty will arise for the non-compliance of income tax law. Penalty will also born if the deducted or collected tax at source was not deposited at prescribed time limit. So what are the penalties for this non-compliance? All this will be covered in this section.

Resource Person

The workshop will be conducted by a qualified chartered accountant Mr Jasim Uddin Rasel. He is popularly known for his articles about income tax of Bangladesh. His articles regularly published in various national online and printing newspaper. He also personally manages a blog both in English and Bangla where everyday a huge number of reader visits his blog for guidance of income tax of Bangladesh.
